Ms. Drusilla Obenewaa Asante is an Assistant Lecturer at the Department of Sports and Exercise Medical Sciences, School of Sports and Exercise Medicine, University of Health and Allied Sciences. She has specialist knowledge and skills in the use of exercise as an intervention in the rehabilitation of sports related injuries and also as a preventive means for Non-Communicable Diseases.
Education
Ms. Asante has a Master’s degree in Applied Sport and Exercise Medicine from the University of Nottingham and the FA Level 3 Emergency Medical First Aid for Football (EMFAiF), UK. She also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport and Exercise Science from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science of Technology.
Work Experience
Prior to her appointment to UHAS, Miss Drusilla Asante worked as a part-time lecturer at the Sports Science Department of the University of Cape Coast and at Simple Exercise Life (Tema) as an Exercise Consultant, and at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Her research areas include Aerobic Exercise and Non-Communicable Diseases and Sports Injury Rehabilitation. She has specialist knowledge and skills in the use of Exercise as an intervention in the rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and also as a preventive means for Non-Communicable Diseases.
