Professor Eric Kwasi Ofori
Professor Eric Kwasi Ofori is an Associate Professor in Medical Imaging Instrumentation and the Dean of the School of Allied Health Sciences (SAHS). He holds a PhD in Medical Imaging from the University of Liverpool, UK, MPhil from the City University, London, UK and BSc (Honours) from KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana. As a senior academic, Prof. Ofori handles several curriculum subjects at both post-graduate and undergraduate levels. These include; Advance Biostatistics, Medical Imaging Instrumentation, Quality Assurance and Quality Management in Medical Imaging.
Prof. Ofori is an accomplished researcher and has conducted extensive research in women health, patient radiation protection and dosimetry using medical imaging modalities such as mammography, ultrasonography, computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. He has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in many reputable international journals.
Prof. Ofori has worked in the University of Ghana and served on a number of academic Boards and Committees in the University. He is the immediate past National Vice-President of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG). Prof. Ofori is active in religious and social activities. He has been a Session Clerk and Presbyter in Accra New-Town Presbyterian Church of Ghana where he fellowships.
He is married with a daughter. His interest is in sports, current affairs, reading and travelling.
