Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements for Admission into the Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Medical Science:    

 

1. Local/Ghanaian Applicants with WASSCE/SSSCE  

Applicants must have obtained credits (Grade A1-C6 in WASSCE or A-D in SSSCE) in the following core subjects:  

  • Mathematics  
  • English  
  • Integrated Science  
  • Social Studies  

In addition, applicants must have obtained credits (A1-C6 in WASSCE or A-D in SSSCE) in three (3) of the following elective subjects:  

  • Physics  
  • Biology  
  • Chemistry/Elective Mathematics  

Note: Credit in Physics and Biology are mandatory requirements.

 

2. Acceptable credentials for International Applicants and Ghanaians with External Educational Credentials include the following: 

  • Senior Secondary School Certificates (SSSCE)  
  • West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)  
  • International Baccalaureate (IB)  
  • GCE (Cambridge) – ‘O’ and ‘A’ Levels  
  • IGCSE (Cambridge) – ‘O’ and ‘A’ levels  
  • American High School Grade – Grade 12 &13 examinations  
  • Other external qualifications which have equivalences to the - WASSCE and the  

GCE (A Levels)  

Entry requirements for applicants with any of these credentials shall be required to submit the credentials to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) for determination of equivalences of the WASSCE grades and submit for admission.
